Psychological Evaluations
Psychological assessments are comprehensive evaluations that address academic, occupational, social, behavioral, emotional, psychiatric, or cognitive issues that help clients understand strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations for treatment. Evaluations can be helpful for the following:

-
Identifying strengths and growth areas in different areas of life (e.g., school, work, social, etc.).
-
Providing a comprehensive conceptualization and diagnosis with details on the severity of symptoms and its challenges.
-
Offering an in-depth understanding of your life experiences, current functioning and how it’s impacting you. This can also be shared with your treatment providers so they can make appropriate adjustments to their work with you.
-
Recommending and clarifying treatment options.
-
Seeking accommodations for testing such as the SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT, and others.
-
Evaluations included for ASD, ADHD and diagnostic clarification.

Diagnostic Clarification
There can be a lot of overlap in presentation between different diagnoses. If you've been in treatment for a long period of time, are feeling stuck in your treatment, or your diagnosis doesn't feel right, an evaluation can provide clarity and understanding into what you are experiencing.
